How To Get Rid Of Spider And Varicose Veins
Spider and Varicose veins are very common and can form at any stage in life. Both men and women are at risk of suffering from them, though women are more susceptible to having them develop. Both are easily treated and the results are permanent. The most effective way to get rid of varicose and spider veins is via a cosmetic procedure called sclerotherapy.
Sclerotherapy And Varicose Veins
If you have varicose veins and spider veins, sclerotherapy is the procedure performed medically to get rid of them. The doctor will inject you with a medical solution through your vein such that the blood vessel lining shrinks and sticks together. In the end, the blood vessel dissolves and clears from the body.
How effective is sclerotherapy?
This procedure has been in use for long, having started in the 1930s. For all this time, it has been found to be very effective in permanently removing varicose veins and spider veins.
Sclerosing solution, as noted above, is injected using a very fine needle into the problematic vein. The whole process takes around 20 minutes.
You will have some moderate discomfort as well as cramping. This lasts for no more than 2 minutes.
What determines the number of veins one can be injected?
This is determined by:
- Size of the vein
- Your general health
Where is it performed and who performs it?

You are required to avoid aerobic exercises some days after sclerotherapy.
